Discrimination and Inequality in Society

Discrimination has been ingrained in society since before the time of the world’s first civilizations. Socioeconomic situations, skin color, and one’s lineage were distinguishing roles which decided whether you were on the top of the food chain, or on the bottom. No matter the country, sex, race, religion, sexual orientation, socioeconomic status, or political party a person affiliates themselves with, everyone has been discriminated against in some way.
